Michael Adams, PE
Vice President/Principal | Bridge/Structures Lead

Mr. Adams has been involved in a wide range of transportation projects throughout New England. His project-related responsibilities have included project management, programming/planning, design, analysis, inspection, and construction management. His experience has been multi-disciplinary, and it includes bridges and transportation facilities.  Michael is responsible for the supervision and preparation of contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates, and has extensive job-site experience as a construction manager / representative. He has performed both project and construction management, from preliminary design/planning through construction closeout.  He has performed structural analysis and design of complex and simple bridge superstructures (curved, rail, straight) and substructures including deep (pile-supported, drilled shafts) and shallow foundations (spread, cantilever), “heavy haul” bridge design, commuter rail stations including several pedestrian bridges, construction procedures, temporary works design, and retaining walls (pile-supported, shallow). Additional experience includes routine, complex, fracture critical, special member, and freeze-thaw highway bridge inspections, routine and fracture critical rail bridge inspections, and load rating analyses of highway and rail bridges.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine.
