Mr. Pierce has over 20 years of experience that includes the structural analysis and design of both bridges and buildings. As Vice President, he is responsible for the oversight and management of Steere’s Project Managers. His bridge experience includes inspections, ratings and design of various bridge types, including vehicular, railroad and pedestrian, ranging from simple to complex in nature.  These bridges encompass a vast array of structure types including single and multi-span stringer bridges, trusses, box girders, arches, slab bridges and culverts.  These structures have been comprised of steel, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber and stone masonry.  In addition, Mr. Pierce is thoroughly familiar with the latest regional state DOT policies and directives including; RIDOT, MassDOT and ConnDOT. He has completed the NHI courses on Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges.  Lastly, he has been instrumental in overseeing the design efforts associated with the construction services that Steere provides to contractors.
