Jon Azevedo, PE
Chief Engineer of Bridges/Structures

Mr. Azevedo has over 20 years of experience in structural engineering.  His responsibilities include bridge design and analysis including seismic analysis, specification and estimate preparation, and supervision of contract plan and document preparation. His bridge experience includes inspections, ratings and design of various bridge types, including vehicular, railroad and pedestrian, ranging from simple to complex in nature.  The bridges that he has designed, inspected, and rated encompass a vast array of structure types including single and multi-span stringer bridges, trusses, box girders, network arches, arches, slab bridges and culverts.  These structures have been comprised of steel, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber, and stone masonry.  He has experience with accelerated bridge construction (ABC) techniques, and analysis innovative materials such as ultra-high-performance concrete, fiber reinforced polymers, and structural fiberglass.

Jon holds a Master’s in Structural Engineering and Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Cornell University.
